About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To follow my mustache throughout the world!

ABOUT ME

I am a reader and a writer. I am a cyclist, a juggler, a talker and a listener. I have a big, goofy mustache, and a big, mushy heart. I love to smile. I love to laugh. I don't trust people if they don't laugh enough. Laugh loud, and laugh often. Be generous. Let go of "stuff" and hold on to friends. The most important, and wonderful things in life cannot be purchased. Get out of your box and see things from a different point of view.
I just graduated college with a major in mass communications. I plan to get a masters in cultural anthropology.
I love art, music, photography, performance arts. I love going places alone. I love going places with friends. I love sitting around, doing nothing with friends. I don't enjoy sitting around, doing nothing alone. I like to party, and I like to drink, but I'm perfectly fine if neither are viable options.
I do smoke cigarettes. It's sad. They're a waste of money. Don't smoke, it's not as sexy as the old movies make it look.
I love hanging out at coffee shops, meeting new people, and watching the world go by.
I love to travel and and watch me go by the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Live to love, to learn, to love learning, and learn loving. Be a good person. If you mess up, admit your own fault. Be responsible for your own actions, good and bad. Be imaginative. Look to the future. Remember the past. Accept and embrace challenge. Don't sweat the petty, pet the sweaty.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm just travelling, but when I have a place to call home, my couch is always open to those who need it. When I have a backyard, you're welcome to that, as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed mostly around friends and in towns I'm moving to or from. Last time I couch surfed my roommate didn't ask if I wanted to renew for another month, so I lost my room for a month while I graduated and got everything ready to travel. Stayed in some friends' backyard in my hammock for the most part. On some of the hotter days, when I didn't have to be up, I would sleep on the couch, but only if someone else wasn't there. Lots of people offered me other couches to sleep on, but I enjoy sleeping outside, and besides, I was living in possibly the coolest backyard ever. By the time I moved out the backyard had a go cart, a minibike, a trampoline, a halfpipe, a bar, a slackline, and a picnic table. Helped my friends out with bills when time came, and helped clean when it was dirty. Almost made me wonder why I would want to live any other way. I'm just as comfortable sleeping outside in my hammock as sleeping inside on a couch. Sometimes, I'm more comfortable, it depends on the couch.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Ender's Game, LotR, Hitchhiker's Guide, Sherlock Holmes, Dune, and so many more...
Comic books: Transmetropolitan, Sandman, The Walking Dead, Invincible, The Boys, Preacher, Northlanders
Movies: Princess Mononoke, Waking Life, and so many more I can't think of now
Music: Anything but pop or most "alternative" (What does that even mean anymore?) Basically, if it gets radio play on anything but the classic rock station, I probably am not a big fan of it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just finished a 1200+ mile long tour on bicycle around 6 southern states. Does that count?
