About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In college, my girlfriend and I travelled all through UK and some of the Netherlands on Couchsurfing. It was awesome. I also keep randomly meeting Couchsurfers and they are usually the most interesting people around.
Interests
Film and books: yes. When it's nice out, I am an avid cyclist. I have been known to cook and actually spend time just listening to music sometimes. Travel, of course - I try to go to leave the country at least once a month.

Music, Movies, and Books
All kinds of stuff. Randomly: Miles Davis is Jesus + trumpet. Mountain Goats should be more widely known. I have never seen a bad film by Coen Brothers, Paul Thomas Anderson or Martin Scorsese. Latest book I've read: The Golden Notebook. On the subject of music: I used to live with the son of a local rocker, and he told me that his dad once told him that he, once at a housewarming party, broke the handle off of some rock star's freezer at his house, and so he held it in place until it froze back together. The seminal album of the 90s is Lonesome Crowded West.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tännhauser gate.

I can lend you a bike and even take a ride with you around Lake Zurich. If the weather's not good, we can play Mario Kart.
