After growing up in Perth, never travelling far from home, I finally made a break for it. Since then I have been spending my time travelling, or thinking about travelling.

I can't get enough of seeing new and interesting things. Pushing myself beyond the comfort level and meeting new people all the time.

PHILOSOPHY

See more, have fun and not worry about that future thing for a while longer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A few people will have noted that as I travel around, I am organising CS meetings and getting to know people in each city.
But partying is not everything. If anyone has a question(s) I am more then happy to help out. If I can't answer straight away, I will get back to you.

Currently I am heading up the Turkey CS Newsletter, providing technical support to the Rural CS group, am helping out with the CS Zone project as well as many other smaller endeavours [1][2][3][4][5].

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So many to mention. One of the best was a spontaneous camping trip. With just one days notice, three of us went off for almost a week of camping. Waking up on a beach with the sunrise is a great way to start the day. With the vagracies of couchsurfing, I have stayed in a wide variety of "couches." From double beds, to air mattresses, couches and even once in a half completed apartment. Now how can you not love that?Number of times slept in a kitchen: 3Number of times in a shed: 1

Interests

Currently travelling and seeing more of the world.

Other interests include photography, music and art.
Currently I have two websites where I upload my photos
General Photos
More arty ones
Alas Ringo is now dead, so....
Long live Google

But with an open mind I can find interest in almost anything. Be it a painting in a gallery or a silhouette
of a tree against the sky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

How can you surpass the Eurovision for the camp glory.

Or being there, next to the front lines of the riots that struck Tallinn.

Also being able to travel the Trans-Mongolian railway from Beijing to St Petersburg.
Now that is one long train trip.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have found that carrying pictures of your home town/country can be a big hit with some people. Especially in countries where computers are not a big thing yet.
Pictures of Australian beaches were a huge hit in Mongolia!
