I am very much a people travler, sure I have some oddball goal of my trip (like seing the worlds longest freestanding escalator (its in the CNNbuilding in Atlanta, Georgia. Ive been there) but really I am all about meeting nice people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am mostly a nightly stop-over for people either comming in from Rygge Airport or going out of it at an inoppertune time and they need a place to crash for the night. And I'm ok with that, so lats not kidd ourself here, noones comming to see my tiny town, your all going to Oslo, and I'll send you on your way!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted Per one night, after we met at a CS meeting, hes cool so even though he is a Swede, dont hold it against him.
I hosted Indy and Jenna and they where great, did my dishes and everything.
Grace, Stephanie and Kathie surfed my couch for 2 nights and we had alot of fun. They where the cutest things, made me paper birds and boxes and everything.
Jenny and Tobias was great, but I might have taken the German thing a bit far, having my Klaus Kinski T-shirt on, playing only Rammstein and watching German silent movies.
Susanna... Wow, she didnt even leave my house, we just sat around watching movies.

I love couchsurfing.

I have a big dvd library which includes The Terror of Tiny Town (the worlds only all midget-cast western musical), 13 danish-1970's-happy-porn-movies (they are hilarious, but keep in mind that this was before they started shaving... you know... downstairs), 4 movies just named Frankenstein, 13 movies with the word Frankenstein in the title, some bootlegs of made-for-tv superheromovies (one including David Hasselhoff as Nick Fury), Xena - The Warrior Princess/season 1,2,3, the Hercules episodes in which she is depicted, the extended directors cut of the last Xena episode, the entire run of the Wonder-Woman 70s tv show, a bunch of Tim Burton, Martin Scorsese and John Carpenter movies, superheromovies til up under my ears, Sylvester Stallones first movie (softcore porn), the James Bond suitcase with all 24 (and the two none-canon movies, Never say never again and Casino Royale) movies, OK Connery (a James Bond spoof with Neil Connery, brother of Sean) and so on, and so forth...

I have some comic books too, mostly fancy hardcover editions, and once I read To Kill a Mocking Bird...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I really do have a life size superman fiberglass statue. No kidding.
When I couchsurfed in LA my host took me surfing at 5 in the morning, but first we had to break into his exgirlfriends appartment to get his surfboard back. Thats an experience you wont get at a hotel.
