Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
learning and sharing with others the "rapture of being alive", as in Joseph Campbell's words.
ABOUT ME
I am quite averse to labels, and I find it difficult to describe myself in a few words, so be prepared... I am a rather chatty and open person, but I can be very reserved and silent at times. On the one hand I am a tech "girl" - iPhone, MacBook, videogames, etc. - on the other I revel in mythology and symbols. My friends see me as a person to go to for emotional healing and support, and I think I like the role (after all, the Jungian typology test identifies me as a Healer) - although I am also a bit egocentric. I suppose that the profile of the Witch would suit me quite well. I give a lot of importance to psycho-spiritual development, but I do not see spirituality as something opposed to matter. I am rather passionate about love, food, wine and people. I laugh and speak loudly. I can be found wearing worn-out jeans and snickers, as well as high heels and miniskirts. However, I am definitely more a tomboy than a sophisticated lady ;-)
PHILOSOPHY
Philosophically and spiritually, I am inclined towards Eastern spirituality (especially Tibetan Buddhism) and Shamanism, but I ultimately believe that each of us should be responsible and creative in finding her or his own path to the Source - however called.
I am very open towards other people beliefs, I just do not like people who are violent and hurt each other. I hold compassion and truth as the highest values.
I do not like fundamentalisms of any kind, not even on things I believe in.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I like both blockbusters and intimist movies, but not those that convey messages of hopelessness and despair. Fav movies of all times: Until the End of the World, Hamlet (by K. Branagh), American Beauty, Magnolia, the "Angels in America" mini-series, High Fidelity, Dogma.
Music: Alanis Morissette above all, most of Tori Amos. All of "Aloha" music (that's my name for music that is inspiring and uplifting, it can go from Mika to REM to Dire Strairs to classical music...)
Fiction Books: Harry Potter forever. I like reading children books (e.g. Skellig, by David Almond, and works by Wynne-Jones and Pullman). My favorite living writer is Antonia Byatt, however.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
all of my life is amazing, if I look with the right set of eyes :)
but I like remembering shaking hands with the Dalai Lama (2000) and with Richard Gere (2010) :)
