ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Neil St.Andrew. My wife Linda and I live in the town of Petaluma, CA. That is about 35 miles north of San Francisco. Petaluma is a beautiful older town. It has an great downtown shopping district with historical building and fun shops. It is close to the Sonoma coast and the Sonoma and Napa wine regions. It takes about an hour to get to San Francisco (without traffic). There are buses, but if your primary interest is visiting San Francisco I recommend that you stay in the city.
We live with three cats and a little fluffy dog. The dog is yippy and will bark at you for a few minutes. (maybe longer) The cats may want attention. We have a spare room. There are also have two big couches. We like music and wine.
PHILOSOPHY
If it's a nice day roll down the windows.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hey, I couch surfed France in 2008. Since then we've had many nice people come through here. Yea. Ongoing: I’m inviting surfers who are interested in staying a night or two in our town. We're more likely to accept requests from international travelers and we enjoy the cross cultural experiences. I found out about CS through my son, who took a three year sojourn around the world that was only made possible by CS. It’s a wonderful idea, being able to really get to know locals when you travel. We're also offering a little payback to the CS community who have been so kind to my son.

Family and our home. Music; I'm a semi-professional keyboard player; (meaning sometimes I get paid) We have a great little funk - soul/jazz band that gigs at nightclubs and events. See our stuff at http:/themightygroove.com
I have a beautiful Triumph motorcycle. See pictures! I waste a lot of time thinking about cycle stuff. Note: Motorcycle tourists are very welcome here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One night when visiting Bandon Beach, Oregon there was a bioluminescent tide. The surf flashed like lightning. The water and sand would glow where you stepped. Our little group were the only people on the whole beach.
