I, Thea, share this account with my flatmate, Elin (the one to the left in the photo). We're two Norwegian girls enjoying everything Lyon has to offer! Spending much of our days in school, we try to make the most out of our free time to experience and see new things! We're both open-minded and we enjoy being spontaneous, even if it involves a little planning..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We want to open our home to interesting people who can share their experiences and stories with us. In addition having a guest over will give us the opportunity to explore our own city even more, which is always a good thing!

We still haven't tried to couchsurf ourselves, but next time we're travelling to a new place, we'll surely take use of this community. We believe travelling isn't all about tourist attractions and getting tan next to a pool, so we'd love to visit genuine locals when we're travelling to get a more authentic feel of a place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We're more into the small experiences that make our daily life an adventure (or something in that alley). Baking brownies at 5AM, spontaneously deciding to go out dancing while we're in our pyjamas, dancing to french rap in our living room because while procrastinating or taking a trip over to that one contemporary art museum outside of the city that's soon going to collapse.
We've also travelled to Nice, Chamonix, Paris, Toulouse and Corsica together, to get a better grasp of french culture, and of course to have some good ol' fun together!

What I Can Share with Hosts

We both like sharing stories with travelers and meeting new people. Other than that, we always love a good meal and a bottle of wine, and if there's time and an interest in it we'd love to show the many beautiful sites of the city. We've already lived here for two years, and have gathered quite an extensive knowledge about its small cafés and hidden treasures all over, but we're still very much excited to find more!
We try to stay sober on weeknights (with a few exceptions), but we'd love to chat or explore the city in other ways!

Did we mention we love to cook? Elin is vegetarian and loves to try out vegan alternatives, so we'll gladly prepare something to suit your fancy, and we hope you'd like to cook us something from where you come from too!
