About Me

I AM ON A QUEST

To live, understand and expand the nature and maximum potential of Humanity through the Art and Science of Experience.

ABOUT ME

I am a the Ambassador of Motropolis, a Human Culturist with the mind of the scientific artist, with a body for action and adventure and an unending liberated spirit. I was born in San Antonio and moved here to Austin to go to UT. I started in Computer Science, moved to Cultural Anthropology and Radio, Television, Film. I've worked as a teacher, tutor, and Mad Scientist , event producer and Audio Engineer for 10 years for live and TV shows like Austin City Limits. I like to vary my experiences as much as possible and soak up as much as I can from every opportunity. My intuition drives most of my adventures. In 2010 I along with many new friends from CS, raised the funds through many fun events to procure the Mobus, a 60ft long bus/RV/land yacht to take to Burning Man. We took an epic cross country road trip arrived with 20 adventurers and artists from six different countries and had the time of our lives. After our return a few of us from the trip created and worked to cultivate our camp, community, culture and our tribe Motropolis and have done so through the stories of our events and gatherings and subsequent Moroadtrips to Burning Man. As a Culturist with experience in leadership training, community equity building, education and production, strive to craft a culture of Humanity that pursues our maximum potential through sustainable interdependent living and ecstatic experience.

PHILOSOPHY

"Start with Bare Minimum Heaven and then live your way to more."

"Those who live a simplistic life, may come to never really understand the infinite complexity of life.
For one who understands the complexity of life, life may become really complex.
But for those who can view the complexity of life simplistically, life can be a really simple thing. Something to be enjoyed."

"I am a wordsmith removing all of the superfluous,
Making gold out of what once was worthless."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS has been a major part of my community and culture. Some of the most prolific people and epic events I have experienced in one way or another have been inexorably tied to CS for one reason or another.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've offered my couch or floor many times to good people who I meet who need a place to crash and I myself have connected with the various groups and forums in many states to help in my travels.

Interests

Creativity in it's various forms, Self Defined Reality, Spirituality, People, Storytelling, Human Culture, Sacred Sexuality, Random adventures, following where the flow takes me. In truth l am interested in anything as long as

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies with good stories or that are visually interesting, but I love my B horror movies like Killer Tomatoes Strike Back.

Music, I like what I like, no rhyme or reason. So I've amassed a decent sized collection of music, bhangras, cumbias, j-rock, electric, lo fi, NuCumbia, Dub and Derivitives blah, blah. I'm always looking to expand my collection.

Books are magic tomes of entire worlds and understandings. With the right book, you can change your world. I like the ones that do.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working audio for ACL is always an experience, I have several stories about the bands who have been on stage for the past few years. The energy and history that inhabit the studio is always produces an invigorating feeling.

The past three trips to Burning Man with Caravan and Cavalcade which has now become my community and clan is the emerging epic of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have much to teach and even more to learn. What I have to teach ranges. It's just best have a conversation and learn what you will, but it never hurts to ask and in return I will listen learn and ask.
