Overview
About Me
Hiya! My we’re Rhody and Nikita, two open-minded, driven, and adventurous folks, looking to meet other folks - both on their travels and ours. We’re both artists who speak English, French, Russian, and Spanish, and live to feed folks dank vegan food and play board games.
✨Nikita is a writer, musician, and visual artist who works from home doing all those things after having taught ESL for over 6 years. In her free time, she reads, karaokes, works on new art and video projects, gardens, bakes bread, takes film photos, and experiences life with the awe of a tourist, even when at home base.
✨A former ESL teacher as well, Rhody is a cello, guitar, and ukulele teacher who's currently studying at Berklee College of Music. When he's not busy as a student or teacher, he's making his own music, playing basketball, whipping up something delicious in the kitchen like homemade cashew cheese or kombucha, or making someone laugh.

Music, Movies, and Books
This is a hard question! A few of my favorite fiction authors include Tom Robbins, Jacqueline Carey, James Baldwin, and Ursula LeGuin. However, I'm also a sucker for nonfiction and read a lot of essays by everyone from Langston Hughes to Philip Lopate. As far as movies go, we both love just about anything besides cruel/sexist/homophobic/racist comedy :). Rhody and I listen to a lot of things. Some old faithfuls include Janelle Monae, Childish Gambino, Future Islands, The Books, L’Imperatrice, Yann Tiersen, Kali Uchis, Lizzo, Cocorosie, Shannon and the Clams, Black Moth Super Rainbow, doowop, and good film scores.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in beat-up vans and our old camper, Doug! We were no fancy Sprinter kids; being grungy hippies who worked their way from farm to farm was the privilege of our early twenties, for sure.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: We both worked with ESL from 2012 to 2018 and would love to share English tips with any language-learning hosts and guests. Rhody is also a skilled cello, guitar, and ukulele teacher who's always eager to share his musical know-how. Some other things one or both of us love to show others are vegan cooking, condiment-making, deodorant-making, bread baking, and board games.
Learn: We love languages. We're both always looking to improve our French, Russian and our Spanish. Also, any pro gardeners or master chefs out there that want to teach something...We’re your humans!
Share: Food! Games! Friendship! A stellar cup of coffee! Wine! Share with us your favorite gems of your town, and we’ll do our best to treat them with joy.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We both love to share a sense of humor, flexibility, some solid dinners, a coffee, cleaning, recipes for household cleaning/body care products, fierce board game camaraderie, and ESL tips.
