ABOUT ME

Me? I am becoming more and more open minded, in my opinion everything is quistonable. I'm a person who knows (most of the thime) exactly what she wants and I always give a 100% to reach my goal. I'm determined and persistent. I definitely am not creative as in drawing, but you can always ask me to paint a door or build a cabinet or some other (big) projects in the house.
I love being around people, being social with friends and co-workers and of course I love meeting and getting to know new friends! I like to think that I am a nice person to be with, in other words I am quite happy. Also, I may be a bit vain.. I believe every person should do exactly what they like to do and someone has to give everything he or she can to realize their dreams. I do.
What you read here wasn't exactly an 'all about me', just my (sometimes quite random) thoughts written down. If you are curious, we could meet and you can decide for yourself what is 'all about me' actually is about :-)

PHILOSOPHY

I always try to be content with everything I got and the things I do. Fortunately this seems not that hard to me, I enjoy life quite much! Furthermore my perosnal philosophy is always changing en as I grow older I learn more and more about myself and my surroundings. I would like to keep this going, because being surprised about little things can change a lot in your beliefs and way of thinking. I hope you will enjoy to be part of my ever changing way of thinking and I will be glad to be a part of your experiences en maybe give you some (other) insights you've never had before.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I'm traveling and therefore surfing!
To state the obvious: I think it's a great way to meet local (!) people and have an insight in their lives in a foreign country, their philosophy and their humor!
And to be honest, I'm quite low on budget too;-)

Unfortunately at the moment I'm unable to host, but as soon as I get the keys to my new tiny apartment you're more than welcome.

Interests

Medicine, reading books, doing sports (lot of different sports but liking ice-)skating and currently hiking a lot), of course I also love shopping!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I listen mostly to music of the 80's, I like the rock that was produced in that period. Meaning Pink Floyd, Guns 'n roses, Golden Earring, ACDC an Aerosmith among others. I also listen to dance, this is while going out for having a drink and dancing. last but not least I listen to music which is popular at that time in the Netherlands. That means that I still discover new artists I like. I listen to U2 and to Racoon.
Movies: everything but horror! I like thrillers most.
Books: As i have said before, I like reading. I mostly read thrillers, but I'm interested in other categories too. Of course I read a lot of books about medicine. Thrillers involving medicine are my favorite. Authors in this categorie: Tess Gerritsen and Karin Slaughther among others. I like to read the books or series that are popular with a lot of other people. Not so that I can 'join the conversation', but because I like to form my own opinion about these. Books that are not known by many people but that are recommended by friends/family/other people always have my interest. This is because I get to know yet another book and because I think this is also an important means to get to know the person who recommended the book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think even tiny little moments can be amazing, I have a lot of them.
Upcoming is a big one: traveling Equador, Peru and Bolivia and doing the Inca trail!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm relatively new.. So I would learn! A lot. About other cultures, other people, other experiences, other lives and by learning from other people I would teach myself en learning who I am and maybe even who I am becoming.
