CURRENT MISSION

We're a group of 5 guys on the road trying to show people what we can do with a stage and a few instruments. Makes for some good entertainment.

ABOUT ME

Though we write serious songs and try to keep a good handle on the business end of things, we never lose sight of why we make music- and that's to have fun, write songs, and take great pleasure in sharing them with others. The free drinks don't hurt either. But even though we get drunk and put Chumbawumba on the jukebox of every biker bar, or play traffic-dodging whiffle ball on the side of the freeway, or cover Garth Brooks songs at metal shows, or get cut off by the bartender before we've even hit the stage... We're a bit smarter than we look.

After five years of playing together we've developed a great system for working out our differences and handling disagreements which frees us to accomplish much more than many bands we've worked with. While they argue and struggle, we continue smoothly like a well-oiled rock 'n' roll machine. This plus a balls-out work ethic, high-energy, breakneck shows and a connection (sometimes *too* personal) with our fans has rendered us a force to be reckoned with. We've self-released two full length albums in the last four years, played almost 150 shows in the last two, and drank roughly as many bottles of Kentucky Deluxe blended whiskey.

Today in the digital music era it means more than ever to set yourself apart from the pack. But there is only so much flair you can have on your MySpace page. So we're doing it the old-fashioned way: Playing lots of shows, zig-zagging across the country and making friends along the way. But ultimately this is the music *industry,* and on one level we're just pushing a product. So we're putting a face and a satisfaction guarantee on that product, up close and personal at clubs across the nation, hawking our wares loud and hard for anyone within earshot.

The Banner Year- a spirited punk-influenced pop-rock band guaranteed to shake you from your stupor and whip you into a frenzy. Or possibly just fall face-first off the stage again. Either way it should be a pretty good time.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sadly, for the time being we can't host anyone. We're on the road from March 26th all the way through July 4th. It's been a crazy tour thus far and I'm sure there'll be many more crazy stories to come. Once we're done with this crazy adventure, and we all find jobs and apartments again, I'm sure we'll be hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far We've only managed to stay with a handful of couchsurfers. We've stayed with Niven in Birmingham, Kristi in Spartanburgh, and Michelle in Long Beach. Every experience has been fantastic, and our hosts have done so much more for us than we could have hoped.

Oh geez... there is a lot to fill in here. I'll start with the obvious: MUSIC. We're all musicians and really truly love music. Besides that, lets see... liquor, beer, women, parties... ok that's an exaggeration, we're not that crazy as far as rockstars go. We're nice guys for the most part, but we do love to have a good time.

Oh right, HOT TUBS! I'm definitely interested in those. I have yet to find a hot tub to hang out in on tour!

What else is there... BEING FAMOUS! That's a pretty good interest. I'll come back and add things later.

This tour has been quite awesome. I've gotten to eat Louisiana crawfish, witness idiots get arrested, seen the holllywood sign, part of the band went on The Price is Right, seen amazing scenery, eaten 20 chicken mcnuggets in under 10 minutes, and of course played shows to amazing people. Believe me, there is A TON more to talk about
