About Me

I am originally from Taiwan and have been working in Melbourne for the past five years. Settling down in a foreign country is not easy but does broaden my perspectives and deepen my experiences in life. There is so much to explore in the new land that I still have heaps on my list to try. Each year I feel more fit in the new environment and less attached to my home. Overall I'm happy where I am.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is such a great idea to travel and meet locals. We all have adventurous blood which bonds us in this community. Keen to meet you and learn something new from you.

Interests

I like board games, both party games and long games just to alternate from light and social to strategy planning.

I also like puzzles and riddles as I like to feel I'm smart :)))))
And escape room is so fun!

Used to go tap dancing but has stopped for a while. Thinking about resuming it if I find a good studio.

Music, Movies, and Books

My all time favorite book is Dogs of Babel, which is a romantic and also a detective story. The novel is a great pleasure to read, making you want to finish the book to reveal the mystery. In addition, it illustrates great depth of relationships, uncovering a man's love and affection to his wife.

I like classic (old) movies, for example, 12 Angry Men. I like movies which tell a good story in depth, such as Persepolis, Spirited Away, and 4 Month 3 Weeks and 2 Days.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumping from 10 meters high into water and found myself nearly hit a rock on my bottom because I leapt just barely enough off the edge. I learned that I will never get over my fear of heights so I've made up my mind to never ever do any height activities. Life is too short. Please don't scare yourself and don't die.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can share food! I like exotic food. Every time I learn about new food I grow an eagerness of trying it.
