About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make as many friends as I can and to travel the world

ABOUT ME

Alright - I ought to get this out of the way first. Yup, my alter-ego is the Bondage Bunny (which has a long and moderately amusing story behind it), and yes, I have an interest in BDSM and expressions of intimacy and sexuality that are somewhat outside the mainstream. However, it doesn't make me a drooling, rapacious sex-fiend; in fact, I'm known by many for having a higher regard for personal boundaries than most 'vanilla' guys. I mention this only because it has been known that some will look at my profile and (metaphorically speaking) run like hell in the opposite direction. This is unfortunate because I'm actually a fascinating and engaging individual...and I'm modest too!

Anyhoo, I'm at a point in my life where through an unexpected confluence of circumstance I have been presented with a completely blank canvas upon which to draw a new life. At the same time I have become connected to the teenager I never had the opportunity to experience. Hence I'm intending to take advantage of the benefits afforded by adulthood to experience many of the things I dreamt of when I was younger, most notable of which is travelling and partying my ass off, while bringing fun and light into other people's lives. And no, this isn't a mid-life crisis - it's a point of existence opportunity :-)

For further info I'm going to shamelessly plagiarize someone else's profile (props to Saelurikur), because (a) she described me as well as I could myself, (b) why reinvent the wheel, so to speak? and (c) I believe plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery. So here goes:

I am at a point in my life where anything and everything is okay with me. I want to live life to it's fullest and I want to experience everything there is to experience. I wear sunglasses at night and I listen to my music way too loud. I always lock my car doors and drive way too fast. I love reading but seem to have this focusing problem. I always day dream and think I can get anything I want even though that is hardly the case. I'm quixotic to all extrememes, but I know this, so it's all good. Theres too much to say and I figure if you want to get to know me, you will. Or if you already know me, than this is just some pointless rant.

PHILOSOPHY

I try as far as possible to follow The Four Agreements, which are:

1) Always be true to your word

2) Don't take anything personally

3) Never make assumptions

4) Always try your best

I don't always manage to get this right, but when I do my life is the better for it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some of the most amazing things in my lifetime:

1) The births of my 3 sons (currently living in the UK)

2) Burning Man 2004

3) An astonishing metaphysical/spiritual connection I had with someone after Folsom Fair 2004 in SF

4) Moving from the UK to the US

5) Dawn over Sydney Harbor Bridge

6) Two Spitfires and a Hurricane flying 100ft overhead

7) Built a circle of friends numbering in the hundreds

8) Managing to get along with both ex-wives...and having them get along with each other

9) The night sky in the Mojave desert

10) Meeting a community of people who have given me hope for my future when I thought all hope was lost

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmmm...what skills can I offer? I guess the following:

1) I am, by all accounts, a great listener, and am adept at encouraging people to talk when they need to.

2) I have a couple of decades of experience in building, managing & troubleshooting PC's and networks

3) I give *the* best hugs - need your spine cracking?
