ABOUT ME
*Why I'm not "verified"*
I joined Couchsurfing when it was a way to connect with people and find a true sense of community wherever you go. I joined it years ago, before getting verified was an option. Once it became and option it was a one time donation that included an identity check, which I'm all about, but now it has turned Couchsurfing into a service that commodifies people's trust in each other through classist means. Yes, it's important to know who each other is, but if in doing that we push out people who have less access to financial resources, then the tool we all once loved he itself become a part of the problem.
Founder and contributing editor at VagrantAnonymous.com a website that's exploring why people travel.
Founder of Hands On Self Care Collective
At the age of nineteen I retired from the conventional "American" lifestyle and have been on and off traveling since 2009, taking off the winters to hibernate in Seattle and Denver. I am a writer, poet, and spoken word artist and love to share my work with people who are interested.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am here to meet new people and learn from cultures other than my own. Unfortunately I have not been able to host for some time, since I have been traveling so much. However, I have used this resource to connect with some amazing folks and make some lasting friendships.
