About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore the solar system, starting with this planet.
ABOUT ME
I LOVE corney jokes. I have no idea why, but be prepared for puns and groaners. Other than that, I believe that for me, I get out of life what I put into it. I think personal vision is the most important part of that. I believe that many people get out of life what they put into it, and that there is no substitute for a habit of positive thinking and positive faith in oneself.
I can learn from everyone I meet, and I find most anything interesting. I'm a proactive person, and really like to see people achieve their goals. And I'm a morning person.
PHILOSOPHY
leap.
"Only the curious have, if they live, a tale worth telling at all." -Alastair Reid
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope I can host you. If I can't, I hope I can show you a nice cafe with and introduce you to my friends. If I can't, I wish you safe travels, and hope we pass sometime!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been surfing and have hosted many surfers since Fall of 2006, when I joined (and there were about 300,000 members)
My most positive CS experience is my 2007 summer in which I moved to Boston, during which I made most of my friends here because of CS.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Serenity, Hoodwinked; Cars was great.
Music: googoo Dolls, Great Big Sea, mowtown! ... Monte Montgomery
Books: Demian, and anything by Hermann Hesse lately
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving's the coolest. Hiking Italian Mountains. Simulating Martian colonization in the desert. Biking through German forests. That stuff's cool, but not so important. Being happy where I am is, but it's also the toughest for me... but you'll learn that when you arrive :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy teaching, if I can. Seeing people "get it" is one of the coolest things to witness. My experience is in tutoring high schoolers in math and science and helping non-native English speakers with documents. I used to be a swim instructor if you feel like you're a sinker.
I feel like I've been jotting stuff down out of books for most of my life. Books are books, but people are the real teachers. In this vein, there's always a ton of ground to cover. Someone's gotta teach me to surf!
