About Me

**I can't figure out how to change my location, but it is now in High Falls, New York.**

My friend Anya and I are traveling to Florida/New Orleans. We are both seasoned travelers; definitely leave-no-traces kind of folks. We will have our own bedding.

I am a gardener, tree worker, artist, experimental musician, and lover of contemporary art, nature, and animals.

Anya is a poet, feminist, and community organizer.

PHILOSOPHY

Nature seems to be the only thing that makes sense to me. I am, however, intrigued by the ephemeral, spiritual and unexplained phenomena thoroughly interwoven throughout our existences. As a child and certainly to this day, Native American spirituality has been -- to varying degrees -- present in my life, thanks to my father.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been on Couchsurfing for about 8 years, and have had nothing but wonderful experiences. I love meeting new people, hearing their ideas about life, and seeing how they live, how people work with different types of land, hopefully in sustainable and community-driven ways.

Interests

Art and music are my primary interests. I have a passion for contemporary classical and experimental music and art, with many pleasures in electronic dance music, pop music, etc. I feel most comfortable with nature, but am very stimulated by city life. I love exploring and embracing the many conflicts inherent to cities. I spend a lot of time listening to and appreciating music, making art, talking to friends about ambiguous ideas, going for long walks or bike rides where ever I may be, whether it's the countryside or city.

Hiking, canoeing, making sculptures, cooking, gardening, going to shows. Things like that ...

Travelling Ireland for 6 months and hitchhiking everywhere and camping in fields.
