Overview
About Me
Every time I see an About Me section and I stare at it for a long time because, really, who is good at writing in About Me sections, I just keep having They Might Be Giants' "About Me" repeat in my head over and over and over.
Regardless, I'm a low-key movie theater manager right outside of Boston. It's one of those things that you just fall into and have a hard time getting out of. But I like it. I went to college for film production, but I am a media consumer, not producer. I see as many movies per year as possible, and luckily Boston is a great movie town so there's always stuff to see!
My traveling has been lacking a little bit, so I'm excited to get back into the habit of going new places and meeting new people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There are sometimes where I just want to be by myself with a hotel room when I travel. But how much can you really get to know a place if you're in a purchased room, probably tucked away because really, who has the money for downtown hotels anywhere?
In my past travels, the most memorable experiences have been the unplanned and unexpected ones, something that Couchsurfing really provides.
Interests
I'm into film, and one of these days I'll get off my lazy ass and actually write again.
I'm a fan of kitsch, Americana, etc, and am focusing on trying to explore all parts of the country, as opposed to just kicking myself for not being able to afford to go to Europe again.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can never keep up with music. Any new artist I like turns out to have been around for years. My tops are Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, REM, Neutral Milk Hotel, Leonard Cohen, Tallest Man on Earth. That kind of stuff.
For movies, Jackie Brown, 2001, The Royal Tenenbaums, Mulholland Dr. Pretty much only auteur stuff!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's not really amazing, but people are always incredulous when I tell them that last year, I flew to Chicago only to rent a car to Salt Lake City, then another to Vegas, and then drove to LA. It makes sense in my head at least!
