Overview
About Me
When I look back over the past decade, I see that time living close to wilderness places, and months in meditation retreat have been such valuable teachers to me. Nowadays, I am looking to combine this orientation with living a bit more ordinarily in the world. I have trained in craniosacral and body based trauma work, so I enjoy working with the body's wisdom.
Also, in coming back to the US, I have noticed how polarized peoples' views have become, and so I have been enjoying not feeding into this and actually not caring much about views or saying the right thing as much as learning how to care about and value different types of people and learn to see them as they are. It's kind of a funny stage in my life because despite my colorful and wild past, I somehow enjoy being a simple person nowadays with a quiet sense of prayer for the people I pass and encounter.
I am sharing this profile with my partner Helena because she will likely be travelling with me soon. She is from South Africa and has very unique perspectives despite probably seeming very soft spoken as compared to US ways of talking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am here because I have used CS over the past decade and have found it a valuable and simple way to connect people. I have actually met several dear friends through this medium. I also am a firm believer in the power of generosity and it's importance in a current world that seems to think time is money.
