About Me
Why, hello there!
My name is Christopher and I live with my family in a neat, little village called Affing near Augsburg, Germany! As a member of bavarian society I value beer and sausages over everything–just kidding folks.
I studied Communication Design at the Faculty for Applied Sciences in Augsburg and finished my Bachelor around August 2018. After that I worked as a designer for a local restaurant-franchise (not really a franchise yet, but they are growing fast!) and dealt with things like marketing and even implemented our very own merchandise. I quit my job after one year to pursue my long lasting wish of travelling to Japan and I can proudly say I will do so on the 6th of October 2019! I am so excited!
Instead of flying back to Germany I decided to add a Working Holiday Visum for Australia, almost exclusive to the fact that Japan and Australia are so close to each other. That means coming from Tokio I will fly to Perth on the 4th of November and since I already have some friends of mine travelling through the country I will probably start joining them right after I arrive.
Since this is going to be a huge and thrilling experience for me I would very much like to be as open and flexible as possible, hence my "new" registration for couchsurfing.com. To be more precise; I already registered this account in 2012 for a short trip to Zurich and I had a blast!
Here's hoping for more!
Kind regards,
Christopher
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Many friends of mine already used couchsurfing to such an extent and they all said it was worth (almost) every visit and stay. Why not do the same? I might actually never need a place to sleep but It would be stupid not to take the chance and hang out with nice locals!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went to Thailand with my best friend and we were in this neat shisha bear on Koh Samui. Since there were no other guests the owners kindly sat next to us and we talked for like two or three hours, all the while we got fed with local fruits and played thai card games. It was amazing!
Of course there are thousands of thousands more experiences like those, but I hope you get the gist... ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
"Do not live to satisfy the expectations of others."
If you fancy books about living yourself or finding your way of live but are fed with the usual "Ho ho this is me and I did this and that and also this to get super lucky in life" then fear no more; I can fully recommend the book "The Courage To Be Disliked".
Instead of writing from the actual authors subjective position (refer to the quote above) it takes a more dialogue-esque approach, where a young freshman, who is unhappy with his live, goes outside his big city to meet this old wise guy in the mountains to question him about his fundamental believes. While most books of this caliber tend to stay subjective and implicating, this book stays refreshingly close to the actual psychological researches of Alfred Adler, a friend of well known psychologist Sigmund Freud.
