Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To get to the end and have a story worth telling.
ABOUT ME
If I could describe myself in three combi-words, I guess they'd be:
competitive/adventurer
inquisitive/brooding
dreamer/romanticist
I know that when you try to lump someone (particularly yourself) into a set of words, you realize immediately the inadequacy of language. I guess what I really want to say is this:
I want to get to the end of this journey and have a story to tell. I want to be the old man at a family reunion that all the kids gather around, and just sit and listen to in awe. On my death-bed, I want to be able to look back and be proud of what I've accomplished. That I discovered what it means to live.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophies are in constant evolution. At this moment in my life, I feel as if many of my old notions of success and worthwhile-living have been in a state of flux, leaving me wondering how and who i'll be in another 5 years. Currently my passion, my purpose, is the formation of, and intentional interaction with, community. It's the relationships, in the end, that matter--not only on an individual basis, but fundamentally on an ecosystemic-basis. Nature shows us over and again that systems with a higher degree of inter-dependency, with many species working in balance, are the most resilient and powerful. The web of inter-relationships on a human scale can be our source of power, or our source of failure (particularly in the void of such). My political philosophy is that with the construction and strengthening of community, many of our social ills and progressive goals will course themselves naturally. Compassion and devotion to communal interests must be our guiding virtues in democracy, if we're to dig ourselves out of the mess we've created for our global society today.
On a personal basis, understanding the brevity of life is a guiding and influential force in my world-view. As such, you owe it to yourself and those around you to make your life as monumental and purposeful as you possibly can. I think one constant over the past decade, and a central column of my life, is the desire to constantly craft a better "me". No one is perfect. Yet I think too many people satisfy themselves with that knowledge, and don't attempt change. Sure no one is perfect, but shouldn't life be about coming as close to that as possible? They say that if you took all your closest friends and combined their attributes, the emerging person would be you. As such, I try to surround myself with intelligent, passionate, and driven people. Are you one of those?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've couchsurfed all over the world and also have housed many couch surfers in my own home, both abroad and here in the United States. Now that I just moved to Denver, I'm looking forward to housing CS'ers that are looking to experience the wide array of things this city has to offer. I know that skiing, music and beer are big attractions--but I want to meet people that are looking for more than just winter sports!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I began my Couchsurfing experience during my one year stint in Argentina, in which I used this awesome website to meet people in Buenos Aires, make life-long friends, and travel throughout the country. Since then, I've used Couchsurfing both, to travel and to coordinate, to fraternize and to host. Since the genesis of my CS life, the people I've met world-wide through the program have been habitually genuine, kind, and thoughtful. Never been disappointed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ask me in person. Story telling is kind of my thing. :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to think that my outlook on life is something to learn from: No one knows the Truth. However, I believe its the incessant quest for the Truth that matters. Our tools? Logic, Reason, Love. I've found these to be true.
Absolute truth is gained through experience, and wisdom by the heart which endures it.
I guess if I have anything worthwhile to share, it's my gift of discussion.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have an insatiable appetite for spreading revolutionary ideas--and discovering and soaking up incoming ones. I can offer all interested parties a perspective about society and humanity that (hopefully) proves captivating and invigorating. I aim to be a central role in the coming shift away from Capitalism and into the unknown territory of human ingenuity.
