Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet new people, do new things, tell the same stories over and again, laugh loudly at innappropriate times.
ABOUT ME
I have traveled to South America and Europe quite a bit.
I am an avid reader. I tend to purchase a novel and devour it in short order (in a day or two). It's the habit that is most disruptive to my work.
I like my sports and outdoors fun, but seldom have enough time to do them.
So, I make up for it by having a little too much city fun.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in a Purpose to the universe. I can't believe that we are just automatons in a randomly occurring universe.
I believe that I have a responsibility to make the world a better place every day. And, on a good day I accomplish that goal, and on a bad one I don't.
I'm not necessarily saying that I believe in God, but at the same time I'm not sure there is a difference between an overarching Purpose, and the Consciousness that drives that Purpose.
So, if the Divine Being or Supreme Being is what explained the Purpose to us, or whether the Divine Being or Supreme Being was created for us explain the Purpose, either one exists or the other, and I need to live my life accordingly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I rode a bicycle 600 miles, from San Francisco to Los Angeles, for AIDS Lifecycle to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and to raise money to end AIDS.
For a 300 pound (136 kilo, 21.5 stone), that's quite a feat!
Teach, Learn, Share
Let's see, . . ., I'm a computer nerd, but that's probably a common thread here.
I love to fly-fish (A River Runs Through It, style). So, I'll keep people posted when I go to Colorado.
This being Texas, I'll also have to include the finer points of barbecue (BBQ) and Tex-Mex cuisine.
I find philosophy and medicine fascinating. And, I'm an active debater of politics and economics.
