I'm biochemical engineer who's decided to use my knowledge for good and the betterment of society by making beer. I'm also an adventurer and have rediscovered the joy of playing outside that I lost during Boy Scouts and college.

PHILOSOPHY

The meaning of life is self fulfillment. Screw the definition of success that our parents followed.

I love adventure races and the like, but also embrace my geek by playing video games and reading. Oh, and did I mention I make beer?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Because my dad's in the military I had the awesome experience of living in southern Germany during my early teens. I feel fortunate that I was old enough to appreciate it and fondly remember walking to the village nearby through the vinyard to visit the bakery and seeing the fields of rapeseed laid out beyond the hill.
I'm a Tough Mudder as well as a triathlete, both accomplished while in my 30s. Something that still leaves me kind of surprised when I think back about it.
