ABOUT ME

My name is John. I'm an aries. I like long walks on the beach and candlelight dinners. :D

I have a great sense of humor. I'm very playful and love meeting interesting new people and having crazy adventures. I'm very goal-oriented and into self improvement.

I'm very respectful other people, especially if I'm staying with them (I know what it feels like when people impose and I hate it).

Most people look at me as an intelligent and friendly guy, who's basically smiling all of the time. I'm usually the life of the party. :)

I tend to be on the adventurous side and I realize that, in life, you have to take risks to get what you really want. At the same time, I'm extremely observant and tend to get along with most people because of this.

I move to the beat of my own drummer, so to speak. Ever since I was young, people have been telling me that they've never met anyone like me. I revel in that fact. :)

PHILOSOPHY

"People are people."

Very simple, yet very true. Although I haven't traveled to many parts of the world, I live very close to New York City and, thus, met people from all over the world. I've generally found that most people want the same things and are basically good at heart (even if they don't necessarily seem like it at first). Everybody just wants to be respected and be inspired.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just started on Couch Surfing (I joined almost a year ago, but haven't been on since). Unfortunately, I still live with my parents and I don't have a lot of money. So I can't really do much in terms of hosting right now. But I certainly hope to help out in the future when I have something of value to offer. :P

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have absolutely no experience couch surfing. I'm hoping to build up some though sometime soon. :)

Movies: Tons, way too much to write. Basically anything thought-provoking or funny.

TV: LOST....every other show is just secondary :)

Music: I love classical instrumental music the most. I also like pop, rock, certain rap and r&b songs.

Books: pretty much anything skill-related. I also enjoy the typical "great American novels" ("Our Mutual Friend," "Catch-22," etc)

Well, I could teach people about the stock market. I became interested in it about a year ago and have been reasonably successful, despite a volatile market and the fact that I've been into it for a relatively short period of time. I'm also extremely socially aware. Take that last info for what you will.

Also, I'm a fantastic story teller with tons of stories that I LOVE to tell.

I'm also an EMT. I could teach anybody about medicine, how to save people's lives, and various techniques that EMTs perform.
