WHAT IS THE FERG?
The Ferg was a house in Clifton Hill, Melbourne, infamous amongst couchsurfers. Over 2010-2013, the Ferg hosted heaps of couchsurfers, often with tents set up out the back when there was no room inside. When the Ferg disbanded, I (Jack) was fortunate enough to inherit this account (and its wonderful references). Having a positive couchsurfing account allowed me to couchsurf in places including Istanbul, Beirut, Tel Aviv and New York City.
