About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To push myself. To break outside of my box. To meet new people and experience things I've dreamed of experiencing my entire life as well as things I never even knew existed or were possible. To ski.

ABOUT ME

My girlfriend and I moved to our dream city of Denver at the beginning of 2016 after growing up in Northern California. We love the snow, the mountains, the great beer and awesome music scene! We also love to travel and hope to see much more of the world, soon! We are still learning about our new city and look forward to sharing it with you!

PHILOSOPHY

Be kind to others. There is good in everyone, and even if they don't see it, they never will if you don't.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My partner Amelia: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/ameliajackson and I used to host quite often and also surfed throughout Eastern Europe for 6 weeks. Recently, I have begun receiving numerous requests from people who either haven't read my profile, haven't filled theirs out, or have zero references (quite often all of the above). I love the couchsurfing community and I want it to grow. If you want me to even consider hosting you, I need to believe you feel the same way. To do that, please do not submit a request if you have no information on your profile or you have no references. It is quite easy to have a friend write a reference for you or better yet, attend a couchsurfing meetup and make some friends. Also, please don't submit a copy & pasted request. I understand copying some things like travel details, but make an effort to connect with me individually and explain why you think you would enjoy staying with me and I would enjoy hosting you. Let's make couchsurfing the best family it can possibly be!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Traveling with my Dad as a kid almost always involved going somewhere that he had a friend or relative that would put us up. I hardly ever stayed in hotels and learned quickly that staying with someone that lived there was far superior. Staying in a house, no matter how big or small, made it feel like home, and the addition of a tour guide was a huge bonus. I learned to love experiencing a place the way a local does, rather than the way a tourist does. This method of traveling wore off on me and I can't imagine a better way to travel.

Couchsurfing.com emulates this idea wonderfully and makes it extremely easy to travel in this way anywhere in the world. Amelia and I stayed with 13 hosts in 12 different countries when we traveled through Eastern Europe in the summer of 2015 and were blown away by all of the different experiences we were privileged enough to enjoy along our journey. We equally enjoy hosting fellow travelers and we try to make our guests feel as at-home as we were made to feel along our trip. We look forward to meeting you, feeding with you, and getting to know you and your walk of life.

Interests

Skiing, speed hiking, cliff jumping, camping, live music. Really though, I love all kinds of experiences and am open to try and do pretty much anything.

Music, Movies, and Books

Everything from Pretty Lights to Iron Maiden. I love movies that make me think and challenge my idea of the world and life. Same with books, recently I've been reading mostly non-fiction though John Grisham was my favorite author growing up.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amelia and I couchsurfed through Eastern Europe for 6 weeks, through 12 different countries.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can hopefully teach you how to never be bored, as there is too much in this world for boredom to ever be a consideration. I can teach you everything I know about getting the most out of life just as I know you can do the same for me.
