Just obtained a degree (finally) in international relations from the university of akron in ohio; now on the way to dresden to get certified in teaching english as a foreign language. hoping this will help me see the world and perhaps get paid for it.

Interests

I read a lot, mainly current affairs stuff, the news (the economist especially); scifi, etc. Ive played the Irish bagpipes for many years now although im somewhat out of practice. I enjoy ethnic food, travelling when im able to, music of all stripes (but i especially love bhangra, traditional world music of all kinds, irish, and goa/psytrance). Hoping to hit up the full moon festival this summer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a total media junky, so this list could go on and on and on. Battlestar Galactica (the remake) is the only thing I think I should absolutely mention, its simply mind-blowingly awesome.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been inside the Great Pyramid of Giza and the ancient mosques of Old Cairo. The mosque of ibn Toloun was particularly amazing as it is an oasis of complete tranquility in the chaotic maelstrom that is Cairo. Most of the others involve psychoactives and electronic music.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can provide some rudimentary instruction on Irish music and the Arabic alphabet. I'm fairly adept with computer software. Also with Ableton's Live DAW program.
