CURRENT MISSION

To live and travel in places and with people that I would never be able to experience if I were living a "normal" life in my country of origin

ABOUT ME

After traveling for seven+ months during 2009-2010,I somehow found my way to settle in Wuhan for a year and a half, where I spent most of my time in a laboratory, doing research to understand and improve the efficiency of solar cells. I then migrated to Kunming, where I reside in eternal spring, and teach physics. I therefore depend on couchsurfers and other random strangers to remind me how much fun traveling is, and to motivate me to enjoy life in the city more often.

PHILOSOPHY

Always try new things. Go new places, meet new people, never settle for the familiar.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed at houses of friends, friends-of-friends, random strangers, and yes, bona fide couchsurfers in the US, UK, and China. I've also hosted friends and friends-of-friends off and on when I still had a flat in Tennessee. I hosted a huge amount- and organized the city's CS group- when I lived in Wuhan.
I haven't had a roommate situation that's allowed me to host much since I moved to CA, but I hope to remedy that and start meeting travelers again soon.
