About Me

Hello! I am Dan.

I moved in Amsterdam 2 years ago while starting to work for a company here. Today I am a delivery guy as well as a cook in the city. I absolutely love this city and decided to make it my headquarters, while couchsurfing and hitchhiking around Europe... and of course biking, I bike 2 times every week, find a great spot and write some lyrics or stories.
Due to my passion of presenting things and wanting to explore I had some video-blogs in the past, scrapped that while I moved from Bucharest, but would like to start again, talking about my experiences and fooling around.
Currently I live with two friends, boy and girl, also Romanians, in a big apartment, I have the living-room with two couches and a bed as well as a personal bathroom. They've never met couchsurfers and would be glad to see meet you, well, they've met me and I hosted and traveled around EU, but they still don't believe me :)), kidding, they are great.
About my past...I can talk all day. I've been a drummer in ska-punk bands as well as rapping and doing experimental music as well as filming and editing. Did Collage and Master as well as cheap traveling my whole youth to the point that I don't feel that you need that much cash to realize your dreams.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to host people in Bucharest since 2010 and from 2015 started hitchhiking around Europe with friends and being hosted. During my experiences I got in love with Amsterdam and had to move here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCES (had many other experiences while time passed, this paragraph I wrote 4 years ago, too lazy to add now) :

1.I had an awesome experience in Holland (Utrecht and Amsterdam) thanks to a school project in which I've presented a lesson. In Utrecht I stayed at my project partner and got along very good and tripped all over the town on bikes :D
2.On December 2010 I've had my first couch surfers (from CS site) over, 2 French people who ware rely nice, I've got along with them very quick like we ware old friends. Was a great experience presenting them Bucharest and some of my friends (and we did a little hang over with some Romanian and French wine :D ), also jammed together (drums+accordion).
3. On Christmas 2010 I had 3 Americans as guests, they were rely nice, the were actually living in The Republic of Moldavia as English teachers as volunteers, we had a great Christmas together with some of my friends, had a home party, a nightlife party and a traditional Romanian food night.
4. On New Years Eve I had as guests 2 girls from Macedonia(FYROM), they visited the city as I had to prepare a huge party that day, we had a great time together and it was nice to have people from other countries at the NYE party as my friends know English and are very open-minded.
It would be pretty boring to explain here all my couchsurfing experiences, I wanna make a VideoBlog about it, I'm going to post on Couchsuring as soon as I add something to it.
Hosting experiences: Germans-March 2011, Italians-Summer 2011, Polish-summer 2013, Swiss:Autumn 2013, Germans-2013
Had other experiences with people from: Greece, Hungary, Belgium, The U.S.A, U.K.

Had an amazing trip in Europe on the summer of 2014 trough Hungary, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia and Italy, visited the capitals mainly and had rely great hosts provided by Couchsurfing.

I've toured 5 European countries by hitchhiking and couchsurfing for a month. Three times. And would do it again.

Teach, Learn, Share

Nothing, I am a boring person.... so many fields to fill, am I right? Better I don't write nothing in here.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Show them around Amsterdam, life of some expats trying to make it in the big Dutch apple, rivers, canals, parks, places where people have a great time in nature. Not so much into nightlife and bars, but I know a place or two if so.

Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Slovenia

Countries I’ve Lived In
