About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn as much as I can!
ABOUT ME
Native New Yorker. Speaks 3 Chinese dialects because no one in the fam speaks English. Lived in Tokyo, Kyoto, Seoul, Taipei, London, and Paris. Learned 5 languages at 7 colleges in 3 countries. Went to a coding bootcamp in London & became an engineer.
I am very petite/space efficient, happy, and energetic. My dream is to travel the world and to learn about all the different people who live in it! :) I love to make new friends and chat over milk tea. I am very curious about almost everything. Learning is my passion! I do not smoke and enjoy wine and cocktails.
PHILOSOPHY
"If it's important, you find a way. If not, you find an excuse."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Surfing, meeting new people over coffee and showing people around are my favorite things to do on CS, but I travel quite a bit as college student who loves to study abroad, so it can be a bit of a challenge to manage all those things!
Since I really appreciate the warm and kind people that I have the joy of meeting through CouchSurfing, I will always have a bunch of souvenirs for hosts or I would be happy to cook them a meal (my specialty is Oyako Donburi!) or a drink. Do let me know if there is any particular souvenir you would like to get from San Francisco!
I've met so many wonderful people it's ridiculous! :)
Interests
I have very broad interests ranging from social issues, photography, computers, science, art, math, psychology, technology, social media, marketing, law, business, anime, FOOD, fashion/style (men and women), to health and animals...! Really, anything under, or around, the sun. I'm ridiculously curious and want to know about everything!
Different languages and cultures, for sure, and if someone is talking to me about something they're really passionate about, I'd love to listen too.
I probably love travel stories and jokes the most.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had less than 48 hours notice the first time I flew in a plane by myself to make 8 short documentary films all over Japan for a summer with other high school students when I was 15 years old
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I love languages and teaching them as well! Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean (up to intermediate). I have some knowledge on Chinese/Taiwanese, Japanese and Korean culture that I would love to share. I share with you how to quickly pick up any language in 3-6 hours :)
Learn: There's just too much I want to learn. I'd probably totally love learning whatever it is you have extensive knowledge on.
Share: Travel stories, Views on life, behaviorial economics, food! I would be such a happy little clam.
