ABOUT ME

I'm a registered nurse from California, I've lived in Costa Rica and New York City. I speak English, Spanish, Cantonese, and Mandarin and I use these skills to meet people from all over the world! I've been told that I literally talk to EVERYONE. Currently, I live in the beautiful town of Arcata, a short trip to the redwood forests! I especially love people who can make good drinks (I was a bartender in Costa Rica!).

PHILOSOPHY

To bring the most fun into the lives of the people around me. What's the point of living if it's not full of adventure??

So far just hosting lots of people, hope to be a surfer someday & see new places!

We get A LOT of couch requests, so if you're just going to send me a last minute "hey can we stay for a few nights," without any indication that you're interested in community building or even spending the 5 minutes it will take to find something that interests you in my profile, I am not going to waste any time looking at yours. Couchsurfing is not just about finding a free place to sleep & get a hot meal, please don't take advantage of us.

I know languages, western medicine, and cooking. Dave is great at car & ship mechanics, he has a master's degree in Human Rights from Columbia Uni, and one of his passions is worm composting. I would love to learn Arabic, about electrical work, sustainable gardening (we have raised beds at a friend's house nearby with cabbage, carrots, kale, bok choy, and broccoli), and other hand on things.
