About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I just returned to Singapore after a 5yr hiatus in Australia and Vietnam. Finding myself. Breaking free of my restraints. To lose sight of the shores, and to discover new horizons. I'm a die-hard (bumming) Entrepreneur since 8 years ago..

ABOUT ME

(I just returned to Singapore after a 5yr hiatus in Australia and Vietnam.)

I not only speak English, I speak Dance.
Really, I don't talk much, unless I'm trying to sell you something, in which case I succeed like 90% of the time.

I relish new discoveries and am addicted to creating and building things as I suffer chronically from the human condition!

WARNING: I'm a cheapskate; I don't care much for $5 coffee, or branded liqour. Bargain hunting is much more fun!!

I think perhaps that I'm desperate to find out if life has more to offer than what I've seen and/ or had so far, and being an opportunist and mostly an optimist, I'm open to ideas, especially the crazy ones!

--

Look, seriously, even though I'm a massive drunk when opportunities allow, I fokkin' hate inconsiderate drunks. I can be 2-liters-vodka drunk but still maintain my cool, so I expect you to be able to hold your liquor well too if drinks are on the menu. PEACE! <3

PHILOSOPHY

“Every nation has the government it deserves.” - Joseph de Maistre
Homage to the revolutionaries.

"I went to the woods
because I wished to live deliberately,
to front only the essential facts of life,
and see if I could not learn
what it had to teach, and not,
when I came to die,
discover that I had not lived."
- Henry David Thoreau

"All that is necessary for evil to prevail, is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke (cit. needed)

"The strongest argument against democracy is a five minute discussion with the average voter." - Sir Winston Churchill

"When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading." - Henny Youngman

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions." - St Bernard de Clairveaux

"Life is of balance. To every good, there's a bad, and to every bad there is a good. Life is of choices. Make the best ones." - Das Kaiser

"Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore." - Andre Gide

"Do not wait to strike until the iron is hot, but make it hot by striking." - William B Sprague

"For want of a nail the shoe was lost.
For want of a shoe the horse was lost.
For want of a horse the rider was lost.
For want of a rider the battle was lost.
For want of a battle the kingdom was lost.
And all for the want of a horseshoe nail."
- Anonymous, since 14th Century A.D.

"Be not afraid of moving slowly. Be very afraid, however, of not moving at all." - Confucius

Be a verb; not a noun. - CANBE.org

Facebook Ends where LIFE Begins... It's a passive existence, almost voyeur; to be a participant in thoughts, but not in actions. - Ponchit Ponce Enrile Rocha

"I've got Godly Wisdom. And the silence of a flower." - Øystein G. Brun

"I hate my flesh; its dimensions poison my soul with doubt." - Ihsahn

"So I scorn the vacant contradiction of life, if only to bewilder. The final truth shall speak my name." - Nox Ferocitas

"We'd better do what he says! He knows how to grow food!" - Patrick Starr

Family Guy ( http://www.familyguy.com/ ) :

Lois Griffin: Peter!! Have you been drinking??
Peter Griffin: Why, yes I have, thank you~

After being hit by a brick, Mayor Adam West's nose starts bleeding. He brushes his nose, looks at his blood stained hand and goes: "Good god! I'm a tomato!"

Chris Griffin: You know Anna, when i first saw you, i thought you were the most beautiful girl in the world and now all I wanna do is show you my innermost self, but i'm afraid you'll reject me cuz you won't like what you see... or that you'll see my scrotum and see that it has a seam on it and then you'll think that i'm made up of two different guys that were sewn together cuz that's what i think happened and...

Wheelchair-bound Joe Swanson, falls overboard
P: kick joe, kick!
L: peter hes a paraplegic!
P: that doesnt mean he cant hear! kick joe kick!

Peter Griffin: Whoa, whoa, whoa, Joe, I... thought you were bringing your cop friends over. What are all these parallelograms doing here?
Joe Swanson: You mean paraplegics. -_-

Tom Tucker: Hello, and welcome to the Quahog Special People's Games. I'm Tom Tucker.
Diane Simmons: And I'm Diane Simmons. It's a great day to be alive, Tom, able-bodied or not.
Tom Tucker: It sure is. Today we'll see some of Quahog's finest athletes struggle valiantly against God's twisted designs. You'll cheer, cry, maybe even have a cheap laugh or two.
Diane Simmons: I know I will, Tom. There's the possibility that, by the end of the day, we'll all be going to Hell.
Tom Tucker: I'll see you there, Diane.

When Peter pretends to be a Hasidic Jew, visits the local synagogue and greets the community: "Good morning Hebrews and Shebrews!"

Brian: [singing] Take to the highway, won't you lend me your name..
Stewie: [interrupts] Who sings that song?
Brian: James Taylor!
Stewie: Yeah let's keep it that way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far, I'm trying really hard to be a tolerable smartass. I have a very narrow skillset.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

"Hosted" on my first ever trip, solo. Landlord was the actual CS Host, but if listing this proves that I actually enjoyed the CS element, then I'm proud to say so!

Otherwise, well, lots of group outings and language gatherings and BBQs and cigarettes and weed and alcohol and dancing and the whole shazzam.

Interests

- kitesurfing
- offroading (4x4 or enduro/mx)
- trail running
- jamming (rock, extreme metal, feel good songs, ballads, cello, violin, piano)
- salsa/ samba/ whatever dancing
- mma stuff
- survival and other camping trips or expeditions
- language practice

Still undecided on hot yoga (tried it once with my CS host and it almost broke me)...

Business, aquaponics, advertising... basically entrepreneurial stuff..

There's a billion things I'd like to learn and be interested in really. I wish I was a robot. Hmmm...
