being alive! estar - y ser - viva! :)
ABOUT ME
currently: i'm a teacher in a nature-based preschool (ages 3-6). i care deeply about nature play and outdoor learning for children. in the past, i've been an environmental educator, au pair, international trip leader, Spanish teacher, blogger/poet (boneyardcreek.wordpress.com), etc.
PHILOSOPHY
I hope to do what I can to know myself and the world around me and be part of making things better (kinder, more just and equitable, more sustainable, safer) for others, both on a small scale and a large scale.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
during the year and a half that I lived in a co-op house in Urbana, IL, we hosted tons of interesting surfers!
i've surfed in the dominican republic, canada, thailand, laos, and australia. my favorite experiences are having the chance to teach one another something, like a language or how to do something new.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
carnaval in cuenca, ecuador. the holiday weekend is celebrated as a national water fight! water balloons, silly string, buckets of water dumped on trucks from second story windows, even gross stuff like flour and avocados. nothing could be more fun!
Teach, Learn, Share
i can show you good places to hike and bird watch in Dallas! And teach you how to fold a paper crane, how to french braid hair, how to eat with chopsticks, how to make something tasty out of literally anything in your cupboard! would love to learn more about rock climbing, share cooking tips, and any language i can pick up.
