ABOUT ME

I am small part of everyone I've ever cared for but a whole lot of me.

I will be leaving my home of the past 6 months in Colorado and driving toward my home of 21 years in Ohio.

PHILOSOPHY

Rivers, roads, and paths are cliche metaphors for life--not to imply cliches are not, at times, great--metaphors that I particularly do not care for. Rivers drag you along as though you were a fallen leaf; roads are made of inflexible and unforgiving and harsh concrete; and the existence of a path presupposes you are following someone else's--a multitude's really--footsteps. You are not passively pulled through this life; you run and jump and skip and stumble through it. You are not confined to pavement whose course was rigidly laid down years ago; each day you should have the grass tickling at your toes, you should turn when and where you want regardless if there is a map for where you'll go; you should not put your feet where others have placed theirs and if you need to not be the only one walking then hold someone's hand and walk with them. However, do all this while following LNT principles, of course--That has nothing to do with me except it entails me personal philosophy and outlook; actually, it has everything to do with me.
