Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've both surfed with and hosted quite a few great and interesting people. I've been to CS meetings and met other CS'ers for drinks and whatnot while travelling. I really enjoy this site and plan to remain active on it for a long time.

Interests

SCUBA diving, rock climbing, parkour, hiking, finding the spiciest food possible, rocking and rolling, leaping without looking, anything that requires signing a waiver or might put me in the hospital. I also really enjoy cooking (and eating).

I've also been DJing since 1996 (though now I'm semi-retired).

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Lots of sci-fi, but anything really. I read -constantly- and will read anything. I've read a book on how to win at Chess, the Battle of Trafalgar, Social Engineering, the Communist Manifesto, and How to Cheat at Everything. I've read (and performed in) Shakespeare. I've been reading popular Chinese fiction (translated into English) and books about Chinese culture a lot lately.

Music: Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, RnB, Jazz, Reggae (all types, including Dancehall and Reggaeton), House, DnB, Garage, Trip Hop/Downtempo, 80's, Original Punk, Classic Rock, Grunge, Blues, and a bunch of other random odds and ends.

Movies: Terry Gilliam's "Brazil" is the most brilliant movie ever made. Seen it?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro.

And this one time I found a quarter on the sidewalk. True story.
