About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Cycling south from San Francisco to Anza Borrego, then eastward. I'm a freelance writer who works while hiking and biking long distances.
ABOUT ME
When I was 18 I packed a backpack, walked to the highway entrance in Tucson, Arizona, and stuck out my thumb. I spent the next year hitching across the US and Mexico, sleeping wherever I landed, and figuring things out on the way.
Since then my life has taken me on many long adventures. Cycling across Iceland, Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Canada, the US. Thru hiking and camping and hitch hiking again across Mexico and Central America. Living in remote places, often off-grid, mostly in tiny spaces. I’ve spent over a thousand nights in my tent. I love being a part of nature.
I’ve also lived and worked for the better part of 13 years in intentional communities–experiments in collaborative living that take people to the edges of who they are, who they want to be, and how they imagine those possibilites. I enjoy the diversity and strangeness of humans and our human ways.
I'm currently working as a freelance writer while traveling by foot or bicycle. I love moving my body in nature, meeting new people, and learning about the world. I describe myself as a "friendly introvert." I love new people and thrive with a balance of solitude and friendship.
