ABOUT ME
Used to be an engineer in Paris, but miraculously escaped the inertia of this life to start travelling. I spent the last 8 months on the roads and on the sea between France and OZ. Time to settle down a bit now :)
PHILOSOPHY
Sleeping is cheating.
Do not fear!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Actually I have already hosted and surfed, but not through CS. It was more about "someone who has a friend who knows someone that needs/provides a couch" :-p
I mainly hosted people when I was in Paris, but also in my family house in the Alps, less often. Bringing a Brazilian boy to the snow for the first time in his life can be funny :-D
Interests
Almost anything related to mountains (that is, climbing, walking, skiing, ski touring, or just enjoying the view), geek stuff (open-source fan here),travelling for sure and learning foregin languages.
Also I can't live without music.

Music, Movies, and Books
Shogun and Alexander the Great are my favorite books ever. Reading was an addiction when I was younger (then came Internet).
Listening to music really all the time, all sort, as long as there is no "oh baby baby" in the lyrics (only acceptable exception being Britney).
Too bad that you can't carry a background music for every moment of your life, or I would already have ear-implant :)
I'm a total fan of watching weird documentaries or old movies late at night or early in the morning in TV.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing to the top of the Mont-Blanc with my father, living in a famous thousand years old abbaye during my studies or walking on the frozen Baltic...
More recently I travelled from France to Australia without taking any plane and met and incredible number of kind people :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Well I guess I can teach a bit of French, at least the survival kit, maybe initiate you to the open source world and Linux, show you how to solve a rubik's cube, teach you basic guitar chords or maybe the usual knots used for climbing?
