About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I hope to see as much of the world as I can before I get too old to enjoy it.
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in California near San Francisco. Never wanted to see another country until my parents took me along for a trip to France and Italy. I studied asian history in college and after graduating spent a year realizing that I should probably just move there. I have now lived in Japan for over two years and I'm loving life.
PHILOSOPHY
Enjoy your youth and don't let it go to waste.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have taken surfers to some Japanese all you can eat all you can drink restaurants, and helped teach them some basic Japanese while they were here. I want to help people find out more about Japanese culture and prove that the American stereotype isn't universal.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I went on a 3 month tour with a band after graduating college and we couch surfed from city to city. We never would have been able to afford it if we had stayed in hotels. I also couch surfed Taiwan while my friend was living there.
Interests
I play a lot of sports but currently I've only been playing soccer. I enjoy art and music and I'm usually up for a night of dancing and drinking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Gone backpacking in the wilderness for 2 weeks living off the land. In 10 days I only saw 9 other people.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am always studying Japanese and Japanese culture. When I have time I try to set up events and last year I taught myself how to DJ. I'm always up for sharing any knowledge I have.
