Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just got back from burning man and need time to find a flight, and would love to explore the west a little bit more.

Interests

I want to do it all. I'm exploring concepts and methodologies for transmedia storytelling. I think every medium can benefit from a bit of interactivity. A surprising gem in my studies came from anthropology. I love to study the way different people interact with the world, and why. It helps to form a more complete picture.

Music, Movies, and Books

Musical tastes range infinitely. I can just as easily listen to heavy metal as I can deep bass electronic. Favorite band is System of a Down. Lately I read books about philosophy and string theory, but I love The Dark Tower series. I enjoy movies that bend the mind and leave a profound impact... but I also have a guilty pleasure spot for cheesy horror movies. The badder the better.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent two months at Occupy Wall Street and met so many amazing people. It opened my life in so many ways.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll teach what I can if asked. I don't pretend to know everything and I'm not that guy who's going to show you the way. But if you learn something, well that's a touching thought. Specifically, I could teach you how to make your own board/card game (it just so happens I have the materials!). I am very receptive to learning new concepts, languages, or skills.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer deep conversations on metaphysics and philosophy, I can cook a few Italian dishes, and I bring general comfort, joy, and laughter.
