ABOUT ME

A student of the universe, a prisoner of the mind. A tree that continues to grow in many directions under direct sunlight. I have been described as very outgoing, but laid back in nature. A wickedly dry sense of humor ranging from bright,sunny haze to dark, demented storms of hail....(depending on room temperature). I enjoy listening as much as I enjoy speaking. I like to meet interesting people and do interesting things (no set criteria on either). I try to imbue meaning in everything that I do...as interesting or lame as it may seem in the moment.

I am human. Traveling, art, and any experience that expands personal, healthy boundaries are all great. The best way to get to know me is to read the references left by others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was first introduced to this concept by a cousin that moved over a vast ocean to a new continent and spawned life out of foreign couches and their generous hosts. I am happy to be an active part of this community; it embodies a philosophy and interaction that transcend culture.

I've hosted, surfed, traveled, and shared many great moments with the many amazing people of CS. To this point, the members here have embodied humanity's capacity and willingness to remain open to positive change and exercise patience during the journey to understanding. My mind's peripheral vision continues to expand through each interaction.

Interests

Engaging people in conversation, listening, traveling, cooking, martial arts, free education, music of all types (listening and creating), creative expression, entrepreneurship, mind-blowing philosophies, cultural experiences, traveling far and near for any duration, impersonations, rejecting high paying jobs to work at fast food restaurants, karma, language, differences, good conversation, experimental conversation, rural/urban exploration, bicycles, reading, beatboxing and of course

...doing good things for good people and amusing myself with everybody else.

I enjoy taking an active role in our beautiful world. My current project involves finding a healthy dose of virtual reality in our natural existence; to progress our society into greater realms of peace through the liberation of information and experience.

I also believe we may be susceptible to tech overdose and addiction....following promises of acceptance, love, and exoticism...only to eventually stumble into a world void of muscular intimacy; our physical bodies will turn into a puddy of fat and organs...and we'll just stare at a screen as stoic lumps of lard belching the occasional sound effect.

....trying to avoid this as much as possible and preach the good word of living during life.

Music:
I listen, understand, and create. 'What' is a term that parallels my journey as a human being ...a canvas where rock n' roll paint the picture.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach American English (and maybe some Ebonics), a wide array of cooking styles (I was a chef for a few years), dishwashing (I was dishwasher for a few more years), music, potentially interesting perspectives, stories, impersonations, listening. I am happy to share whatever I have. Its pretty much guaranteed I will eventually make you laugh; either with my humor or my stupidity.
