ABOUT ME

About me... well, as many of us who are on this site could say, I absolutely love to travel. I've met some awesome people on this site, and learned lots along the way.

In person, I'm extremely laid back and non-judgmental, and try my best to be as considerate as possible. I'm open to talk about just about anything, which often tends to go into deeper conversations. I love to meet new people and hear their experiences.

I moved to Ottawa (from Milwaukee) in August of 2016, so I'm relatively new here. I'm here living with my husband in a somewhat humble abode, so there's a chance we may not be able to host. I/we would certainly be up for grabbing a coffee and/or an adult beverage somewhere with you and possibly tour some museums, etc!

PHILOSOPHY

I touched on this a bit in the personal section, but I am a very open individual. I almost always take the role of a curious listener, as opposed to putting someone down for their interests or beliefs. Everyone's experience in life is different, which makes for a very unique experience when meeting new people!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a number of people when living solo in Milwaukee, but have not yet hosted in Ottawa. We live in a fantastic area, and perhaps would be able to host, but it really depends on the individual (and what I/we have going on).

On the flip side of things, I've surfed a number of couches and absolutely love it! I've had nothing but good experiences from couchsurfing, and look forward to more to come!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, couch surfing has been absolutely wonderful! I've made some great friends, as well as had great experiences in different areas of the world!

My interests include, but are not limited to: Roller Coasters, Listening to music and going to shows, being in crowds of people, enjoying nature, video games, board games, and a number of other things.

Music: Breaking Benjamin, Skillet, Anberlin, Avenged Sevenfold, AC/DC, Black Eyed Peas, Coldplay, Disturbed, etc etc etc.
Generally anywhere in the Rock and/or Dance category, but open to almost anything!

Movies: Pirates of the Carribean, Fight Club, and many many more.

Sheesh, I guess one amazing thing I've done is flying to Munich for roughly 22 hours to see how rusty I was with my German? But anyone in the airline industry will say that's nothing special ;)

Hmm, If I was a professor, I suppose I'd say to go after your dreams! However, I'm not a professor, and I have had some pretty crazy dreams, so I don't think that's all that good of advice!

I am a personable guest who LOVES to hear and share stories, experiences, etc. If I send you a request, it's because I'm interested in you as a person, not because I'm just looking for a place to crash. A city is only as good as its people!
