About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Pursue awesomeness.
ABOUT ME
I'm half of a life-loving couple who digs being out and about and diving into exciting new experiences in our home area (Washington, DC) and wherever we're traveling. We travel regularly, have a very active social life, go out frequently, and have friends over regularly for bonfires, games, dinners, beer-drinkin', and general merriment. We're also huge fans of dancing and live music of all kinds!
PHILOSOPHY
Hakuna Matata.
Always keeping an eye out for ways to elicit a smile or spark a conversation with a stranger makes life seem meaningful on a daily basis. Everyone has a story. Love and be loved.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We've hosted a few travelers through CS, and surfed with several while on a motorcycle trip and a few other adventures. We're excited to be part of this kickass community!
We consider ourselves very easygoing as both hosts and guests.

We love getting to know new people through CS, and think it's the best way to really get to know new places as well.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a passionate (passionate!) lover of almost all genres of music. On most common rotation are reggae, old-school hiphop, classical, and folksy harmonies sung around a bonfire. Live bluegrass in a rowdy bar is heaven on earth.
Ryan's most into indie rock, but gets down to just about anything too.
Movie favorites include Pulp Fiction, Lion King, Dave Chappelle's Block Party, Dazed & Confused, Me And You And Everyone We Know, and documentaries.
Books favorites include Dharma Bums, Sophie's World, Corelli's Mandolin, Ender's Game, Sex At Dawn, The Curious Incident of The Dog In The Night-Time, and fascinating works of nonfiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm awed by many things. I don't even know where to begin with this one.
Teach, Learn, Share
Say yes. Go for it. What will you remember a month from now? A year from now? Thirty years from now?
