About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Make the most of our time on earth
ABOUT ME
We moved to Dubai in 1995 and really began to travel after this. We have taken every opportunity to travel to new and interesting destinations and meet new people. We are not overly keen on very touristy stuff but love to meet the real people and experience real life in any place we go.
We are great cooks and love nothing more than entertaining our friends and family.
Our friends describe us as "quirky" which we take as a compliment. We like things that are a little bit different. Our kids think we are going through a mid life crisis and worry about us in the way that we used to worry them - which is nice.
We have now returned to our home country, Wales. We welcome the opportunity to show people around our little corner of the world .
PHILOSOPHY
Your mother gave you life. It's up to you to life it to the full

Ruth loves to swim and her hobby is cake decorating. Also likes cooking, cross stitch and craft stuff.
Paul is a sports fanatic and loves all sports. Is passionate about Rugby and enjoys watching his home team Ospreys play footie. Loves cricket, golf, motor racing. He doesn't like American sports much though.

Music, Movies, and Books
We are both avid readers and Tananera is a joint favourite. Paul has recently taken to reading Ian Rankin . Ruth enjoys the Indian Authors and loved The God Of Small things.
Didn't used to watch many movies apart from the blockbusters but recently started going to the cinema on a weekly basis. The rule is to just show up and watch whatever is on. That way we get to see movies that we woulnt have otherwise chosen.
Paul likes sixties music best. Ruth likes a broader range of stuff. Both like light opera but the heavier stuff is not our cup of tea
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Taj Mahal left us spellbound and brought goosebumps when we saw it for the first time.
We once dragged ourselves out of our comfort zone for a holiday and went backpacking in Borneo- simply amazing and never looked back. Have now added Vietnam, Japan and Kerala to our best holidays ever.
Teach, Learn, Share
We lived in Dubai for 21 years and have watched the city grow and change. Loved sharing our experience in this ohenomenal city with fellow couchsurfers and now look forward to welcoming them to our home in Swansea, Wales
