I consider myself a disability rights activist, and a becoming lawyer in the court. Personally I'm a wheelchair user disabled person, due to polio, from the age of 18 months.

In August 2011, I with other some has established a DPO (disabled peoples' organization) namely United Actions in Natore district. I'm also an Apprentice Lawyer in Dhaka Judge Court/Dhaka Bar Association.

Earlier I had been working in country's largest rehabilitation and vocational training centre for disabled people namely CRP (www.crp-bangladesh.org) in Dhaka for about 12 years from 2002 to 2013. Prior to this, I was a community group leader for 2 years (and continue) of ADD International's Self-Help Group in his village in Natore.

In 2011/2012, I completed a travel namely Mohoram's Wheels (মহরমস্‌ হুইলস্‌) from Bangladesh to US by using only bus, train and ship. More at www.fb.com/groups/mohoramswheels (Fb group).

I've double bachelor degrees- one in social science (3 yrs) and another one in law (4 yrs), and now I'm enrolled to get done my Master in Laws (LL.M.) degree expected to be completed by Aug 2021.

I'm married to Aklima Kahtun who is also an wheelchair user woman, teaches in a primary school. We have a boy of 20 months (Jan 2021).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

a. I have traveled approx. 35km from CRP-HO to Gulshan Lake Park, Dhaka on own wheelchair on 08th Sept. 2007 to raise fund for my employed organization.

b. I have completed successfully my “Adventure Tour to India” in Nov. 2007 as starting point of the plan of “SAARC Countries Tour on the Own Wheelchair” to prove it that “Disability is Not A limitation to Adventure”.

I am affected by polio at age of 1 year and 6 months. Now I moves by wheelchair, but I can walk without wheelchair for very short distance. I can manage all of my daily activities by my own. I can go upstairs (1st/2nd floor) without any help. I have no any other disease till today except my disability. As per the state law of Bangladesh and other countries, disability is not a disease. I am fully able to stay at general type of accommodations and can use general type of toilets & bathrooms and able to use other home appliances.
