About Me
Queer friendly 🌈🌿💕
Hey! I’m Theo. I'm an aussie guy living and working in Prague. After I graduated highschool in 2021 I moved to Germany, working as an Au Pair. I thought I would just take a gap year to travel and come home in 2022 to study at university, but here we are working as a bartender in the land of beer, guláš and knedlíky hahah!!
I love baking bread, and teaching myself new skills; building a woodfire oven, fixing bikes, making Rhubarb Schnapps, anything!
I am a respectful guest, and like to show gratitude to my hosts by cooking a meal. My philosophy is always to leave a place better than you found it and to give back to those who help you.
🏡HOSTING: I share a room with my partner in our appartment so I don't usually have space for guests, unless my roommates are away. For any desperate queer traveller's heading to Prague: DM me I can find you a place to sleep.
~For anyone that hosts me: I will of course return the favor of hosting you in Prague, OR if you’re visiting Australia anytime soon I have family and friends who can host you there, my family lives in Canberra, the capital city and Tuross which is a really beautiful town on the coast of NSW. I can also give travel tips, such as amazing national parks where you can camp for free! ☺️🌊🐨🦘🌏

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I don't like the idea of private property, such as Airbnb and how it destroys the rental market, it has made some of the most beautiful places in Australia so much more expensive, unaffordable for young people and often tourists don't even respect the land.
Some places are absolutely beautiful, but they are more than taking a picture for your instagram, it's also valuable to learn something about history and the people there. You can't understand the beauty of Nuremberg for example, if you didn't know that 90% of the historic, medieval city was bombed within one hour in WW2 and, with the decision to rebuild it, rather than modernise it like today's Frankfurt, which took over 38 years with many volunteers and donations.
It's important to me to share experiences and hospitality, which others have shared with me, and having a network of friends around the world is definitely a bonus.
