About Me
Hi, I am new here, so I still have to find out a bit how everything works :).
What can I say... I am from Belgium, living in Ghent and studied in Switzerland. I am working now as team manager in a consultancy firm delivering optimization software.
I love sports!!! I play volleyball and tennis a lot. In winter I go skiing or snowboarding. Often I go mountainbiking, running, cycling, rock climbing... A lot ;).
I guess like all people here, I love traveling too... One month a year I travel outside of Europe. So far I have been to Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Rwanda, South Africa, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Egypt, Kenya...
So I think that's me in a nutshell.. I hope this is enough. If you think I have to add more, I appreciate your feedback. I am new to this as mentioned before ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
First I was traveling in hotels... The last couple of years I was traveling in hostels... When going in Ghent, I met some people that were couchsurfing and they had all these amazing stories and finally they persuaded me to try it at least once. They have promised me, I will get addicted too :D
So next step: couchsurfing... :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: the good old classic rock like Pearl Jam, Gun'sRoses... and more chiller like Tracy Chapman, Tom Waits..
Movies: Quinten Tarantino obviously :)
Books: use to read a lot of Stephen King
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As a student I worked as a lifeguard at the Belgian coast. A kid was almost drowning and I saved his life... To be honest, I think he would have survived without me too, but I let myself believe I saved a life ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
When traveling I want to learn as much as possible from the local culture, people, habbits...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I travel a lot, so I have some nice stories to tell (from being attacked while diving in the Red Sea to being injured (mountainbiking) in a kind war zone in Rwanda)...
I do believe I am nice guy to hang out with... Does this count?
