My name is Theodore Jackson, but I mostly go by Teddy. I got a Bachelors degree in theater at UNM. Though I haven't in some time, I am a performer, and write plays.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am taking a 2 year trek around the world, and I wanted to do a mixture of hostels and trying couchsurfing along the way. I was hoping to have the experience of crashing at a friends house after a fun night. I also thought this would be a good way to meet more people. And then possibly learning a bit about the culture of staying at others homes. It is interesting to me to see how others live. And when I return from traveling I would like to host so I can meet more people.

Interests

I love to see shows and musicals, and like going to festivals.

I like long walks anywhere I can take pictures.

I like board and card games.

I listen to a lot of books, because over the last several years I haven't had much time for actual reading. But I like stories.

I like all sorts of music.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Deadpool, Shawshank Redemption, Shine, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Ikiru, Blade Runner, Aliens, Predator, Amelie, Ghostbusters. Honestly, I could go on for a while, but I like a lot of movies

TV: I am currently into Black Sails, Penny Dreadful, The Venture Bros, The big Bang Theory, and Grimm
I also like Black Adder, Mr. Bean, Sherlock, Monty Python's Flying Circus

Books: Harry Potter series, Lord of the Rings, The Dresden Files, The Song of Fire and Ice series, Sherlock Holmes, Memoirs of A Geisha, Stardust, The Chronicles of Narnia, True Grit. This is another category I could go on with.

Music, I like all sorts of music. Not as big into rap or screamer music, but there are some I like. Another category I could go on for a while with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not sure that it's amazing, but for the moment I earned Eagle Scout when I was in Boy Scouts.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure at the moment what I can teach others, I think I learn more from others than I seem to teach. I'm not sure at the moment specifically what I'd like to learn either, but am willing to pick things up as I go.

As far as sharing, I just want to meet people to share experiences with and to take as many pictures as possible. And sharing pictures would be awesome too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I make a really good cheesecake.
At the moment, I'm not sure what else I could share, but I will probably learn along the way.
