About Me

ABOUT ME

I don't know what to say about me , I always think that this is for others to say. However in not so many words i think that i'm generally happy , with a positive view , trying to make the most out of situations, rarely ( close to never ) angry.
I like talking , taking long walks , eating and drinking new stuff , i like colorful places I've never been before

MY CURRENT MISSION

Learn , See , Hear , Taste , Feel

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE ON COUCHSURFING

At the time I don't have a couch to offer , but when i do manage to live on my own i'm sure I'll get one... So for now just surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well the first time I went couchsurfing was rather out of need but in the end it was such a positive experience that got me dragged into it and i'd love to expand that experience..

Interests

I really like sports , especially the unusual ones or the usual ones under strange circumstances ( e.g. football in rain) . I've practicing kung fu for about three years now, and i'm quite enthusiastic about it ...

I also love reading and talking about literature , philosophy, politics and science . Anyone who has knowledge and/or ideas about those can captivate me for hours.

Another thing I absolutely love is eating and drinking new stuff. I don't really think I've come to known a place I'm visiting if i haven't tasted a part of their cuisine and brewery ( my favorite drink's beer)

Furthermore I also enjoy listening to and playing music. I know how to play the guitar and a kinda traditional greek instrument the bouzouki (and instruments which are like it e.g. the baglamas ) and when I meet someone who can play as well I really enjoy jamming.

Last but not least I really enjoy walking around . The real sensation from a place is when you permit yourself to get lost within it so as to discover .( google theory of the derive..)I especially love narrows for they give the feeling of secrecy and ( in old cities) wondering through time.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
I mostly listen to punk , metal and rock but from time to time I also listen to classic , jazz , experimental , ambient and actually any album/ artist which comes to my ears and I find interesting. In truth I can listen with joy to most kinds of music expect club music.

MOVIES
I can't really say that I do watch many movies and except some random titles I can't claim to be knowledgeable about them. However I enjoy cinema and given the chance I would like to broaden my horizons about it. Some of my favorite films are : Eternal sunshine of a spotless mind ,Memento , Fight Club , most works of quentin tarantino (like pulp fiction, kill bill , Inglorious Basterds etc) , The Big Lebowski ,Whiplash , Midnight in Paris .

BOOKS
For me literature is a important part of my life, so I have waaaay too many books that I like ( not only like , but actually books that have made an impression to me for example you can't say you like Kafka it just shooks you up). Some of my favorite writers are Herman Hesse ( Steppenwolf, Sindarta , Demian ), Kafka , Hemingway , Sartre ( Nausea) ,Camus ( The fall , The stranger, The plague) ,Dassiel Humet , Georges Battaile ,Oscar Wilde , George Orwell , Aldus Huxley , Tommas Mann and many many other :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I walked beyond the limit of thirst. I began one greek summer noon to climb an island mountain , had a big bag and only 750 ml of water. In the way we got lost , had to go back search for a trail , eventually come back in darkness. At some point after being really thirsty I discovered that my thirst had gone away.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some basics of guitar ( or bouzouki) , how to cook some easy greek foods , and how to provide first aid (CPR and other stuff) and of course how to speak and swear in greek.

About learning I'm open to anything a host has to offer. Maybe how to cook a local dish?

Countries I’ve Visited
