CURRENT MISSION
To travel and meet new people.
ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Theo, I am 22 and I live in the UK. I am currently reading History at the University of Birmingham, with specific interest in the social history of race, gender, sexuality and politics.
I've been to a fair few places around the world, mainly when I was younger with my family. My first solo travel was in 2014 I spent three months roaming around the USA, exploring and meeting new people. It was an incredible experience, and I met some great people through Couchsurfing - something I'd love to do again! Since then I've explored France and Italy, spent a further 9 months in the States studying in Chicago, and am constantly dreaming of my next destination.
As a person, I am pragmatic and resourceful, and absolutely hate waste of any kind. I love to cook, and aside from making good and nutritious meals, using food efficiently is something I am deeply passionate about. I will always look to reuse or repurpose something above buying something new and feel more at home in a thrift shop than a department store. I play the saxophone and am in several bands and musical projects, and am always interested in listening to and discovering new music. I like to watch and play sport, specifically rugby, but feel just as comfortable being outside hiking, running and climbing trees. I am always game for an adventure, and am constantly torn by wanting to live in a city and wanting to live in the woods by a lake fending for myself. I also enjoy amateur photography with my Pentax P30 SLR (https://www.flickr.com/photos/137207409@N02/)
My life philosophy is constantly changing and developing, but at this moment in my life I am sure that my current mindset will resonate for a long time; live life simply, err on the side of generosity, and be nice to people. These sound generic (and in many ways they are and should be) but they are still personal. It's better to be a nice guy, at least until you have reason to act otherwise.
Interests
I enjoy discovering new food, and don't really have any limits when it comes to trying local delicacies. Food was a major part of my first American journey, and proved to be a great bonding experience for the people I met along the way.
