Hello hosts! I’m Ake. (Sounds like ‘ache’)

I work in garment/ fashion industry. I work a lot but when I travel, I like to stay somewhere homey. Everyday, I live and work in the city, it’s normal for me to appreciate slow pace, quiet neighborhoods, and nature so I try to get away on weekends every chance I get but sometimes I just end up staying in most weekends. But at times I don’t mind visiting big cities when traveling overseas as cities are often a melting pot where different cultures, ideas, creativity, food, etc are “melted” together.

I have keen interests in history, designs & creativity, sustainable living. I love many types of music, art, interior designs, home decors, outdoor activities, travel, and cooking. I can cook really good Thai food!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a great way to experience traveling from a locals' perspective. Exchange stories and making friends. Really get to know the people, culture, food, and the town I'm visiting. I would prefer to have the experience of a traveler's more than a tourist's.
