Hello, Couchsurfer! My name is Seung Ho Jeong, but you can just call me Theo. It is my English name. I was born in South Korea. Also, I'm 24 years old. After high school graduation, I finished mandatory military work for two years, and I finished my sophomore year. This year, I decided having a gap year to find a myself. For achievement, I want to try many things by meeting various people. Now, to prepare abroad trip, I'm earning enough money to buy airplane ticket, also I'm learning english hard. It is just one thing that I have to do is depart.
I'm interested in people in other culture. I believe that learning other country’s lifestyle is a very powerful key in understanding other culture. I want to experience other culture. I never doubt that it will help me find myself. Also I'm interested in company and start-ups and a place where there are many start-ups company like Silicon valley. In there, I want to experience and feel their own culture. I want to talk with challenging, full of ambition engineers who are working in revolutionary companies.

By reading some book, I realized that there are so many uncountable places and various people. I want to experience diverse life and culture with all my heart. Therefore, the best way is doing anything with other people such as talking, eating, playing games, doing activities... whatever! I believe that CouchSurfing will hopefully help me. This is the ultimate reason why I try to engage in CouchSurfing.

兴趣

-soccer: It is my favorite sports. I really like soccer and I don't want to be behind in football. Every weekend, I enjoy playing soccer. I wish to be better than anybody.

-English: I'm practicing hard. I have studied English just for passing a test, but now is for communicating! It is more fun, I want to learn English more. These days, when I see a foreigner who looks lost, I will try to tell the way, and talk with them. It is very fun!

-Soft engineering: Actually I can't deal with computer language, but I'm more interested in developing software application. How I can apply a software for my dream, or social problem.

-Social problem: I know there are so many social problems in our world. I really like to listen to a kind of story on how a company deals with social problems. Every time, when I heard this story, I feel the aspiration that I want to do the same things.

Leisure Sports: I love leisure sports, especially paragliding and scuba diving! But in my country, it is so hard to do these activities because of constraints in space and money.

-Company& start-ups: As I mentioned, I have lots of interest in companies and start-ups which deal with social problem. I want to visit these and feel their passion. I believe that it will help me choose my job and truly. express confidence with my major.

-Reading: When I was a freshman, I started reading a book, not studying my high-pressure major course of university. Anyway in this time, I extended my spectrum of reading books. I tried various field of books such as economics, literature, liberal-art, science, and history. I'm always trying to read many books.

音乐、电影和书籍

My favorite music is Blue which is OST of Cowboy Bebop. I can feel that the singer, Yamane Mai sang the song in her heart. Also when I study or read a book, often listen a classic music. I love Nocturnes and Goldenberg variation which make me calm my nerves down!

My favorite book is Kokoro by Natsume Soseki. This made me deeply think about whole relationship with my friends, family, romantic partner/ significant other and teachers. This book was written over 100 years ago, but it I’m still moved. I can't believe that Natsume worte that in 1900s

My favorite movie is Interstellar. I watched this movie four times in the theatre. Still It is really touching to me.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I can't tell something without the Passion College. This is not real educational institution rather than just a club. Our student members have a passion and individuality. Basically, to reach our job that we truly want to do and achieve happiness, we are trying various experiences such as paragliding, marathon, temple stay, experiencing death, dance perfomance, flash-mob, climbing a mountain etc. I just did a dance perfomance and flash-mob, it was a fresh experience and an amazing thing. If I didn't participate, I can never do that. Since I joined this club in January 2016, I've done all incredible activities. Friends who I met here show more respect to me and make me happy than university. All various experiences with these friends. I love both Passion College and members!
May I write one last thing? Last year, I went to Jeju Island. It has a beautiful coast. Along the coast, we just walked and rested several times. At night time, we just laid on the coast looking at a thousand shining stars. It was a great memory.

Teach: I'm not a person who can teach something professionally. Sometimes I just give some tips to my friends when I play soccer in sports sharing. Probably I can teach someone who is interested in Korean culture and history :)

Learning: Basically I like to learn more on the following: cooking, music, dance, engineering, sports, leisure activities, whatever!

Share: I love to share also. I like to talk with my friends about impressive books, movies, and music. Someday, I want to be a person who can share my own talent :D

Basically, I'm a positive person. I'm not a professional cook but I can cook some simple Korean meal. If you want to try it, just let me cook. Also, I like to talk about history, and culture. If you want to listen to real Korean culture, I can tell you anything!
